Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking an on-site Integration Engineer in Greensboro, NC for a 6-month contract. The role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting middleware and APIs to integrate applications and systems, with emphasis on secure, reliable integrations and clear documentation.

You will work with Java, Python, and JavaScript, apply REST/OpenAPI/GraphQL patterns, and leverage Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD in a fully onsite environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software/ integration engineering or related role.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.
• Experience developing and supporting APIs and middleware.
• Knowledge of API security including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Terraform, Spring Boot, Boomi, IBM ACE, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support middleware solutions used to integrate applications and systems.
• Develop APIs, integration services, gateways, routing solutions, and data-mapping components.
• Build synchronous and asynchronous integrations per business requirements.
• Develop reliable API and integration solutions aligned with security standards.
• Implement security controls including authentication, data validation, monitoring, and logging.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and document interfaces, dependencies, and operations.
