Job summary

Holmes Murphy is seeking motivated students for the Client Service Internship – Summer 2027 in Cedar Rapids, IA. This 10-week, on-site program offers hands-on exposure to the insurance industry through educational workshops and rotating through brokerage services.

Interns will support client relationships, handle day-to-day service needs, help ensure timely information, and assist with marketing, presentations, and client meetings while learning from industry leaders.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or pursuing enrollment at a 4-year institution.
• Majors interns have pursued include Business Administration, Finance, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Health Promotion, Risk Management & Insurance, and more.
• Prior work experience is a plus, preferably in a customer service or administrative role.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in managing existing client relationships.
• Handling day-to-day service needs.
• Assisting in ensuring clients receive timely and accurate information.
• Assisting the sales and services teams with marketing of new and renewal business to include gathering needed information.
• Assisting the sales and service teams with preparation & creation of materials for presentations.
• Attending client meetings.
• Assisting in supporting the sales team by delivering on agreements made during the sales process.
• Additional duties as assigned.
