Job summary

Swoon is seeking an Infrastructure/Network Engineer to own and evolve a diverse set of on-site IT responsibilities across Texas, California, and Georgia. You’ll manage Windows Server, Hyper-V, Linux, and network infrastructure while contributing to cybersecurity initiatives and supporting manufacturing operations.

You’ll join a small, collaborative IT team focused on learning, ownership, and implementing practical, scalable solutions with room to grow inside a stable, profitable company.

Qualifications

• Experience with networking fundamentals including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs and VPNs.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, ideally Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Experience patching, updating, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to research and resolve unfamiliar issues.
• Broad infrastructure background across multiple technologies.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal direction.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to jump in where needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, administer, patch, and troubleshoot Windows Server infrastructure and on-premises assets.
• Support Hyper-V virtualization, Linux environments, and related services.
• Troubleshoot networking issues across switches, firewalls, routers, VLANs, VPNs, and site-to-site connections.
• Manage backups and recovery solutions (VEEAM) and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Support hardware and specialized manufacturing equipment connected to the network.
• Collaborate with IT team to support multiple company locations (TX, CA, GA).
• Research unfamiliar technologies, identify root causes, and implement solutions independently.
• Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives (MFA, vulnerability remediation, Zero Trust) as opportunities arise.
• Provide occasional after-hours and weekend support as needed.
