Swoon is seeking an Infrastructure/Network Engineer to own and evolve a diverse set of on-site IT responsibilities across Texas, California, and Georgia. You’ll manage Windows Server, Hyper-V, Linux, and network infrastructure while contributing to cybersecurity initiatives and supporting manufacturing operations.
You’ll join a small, collaborative IT team focused on learning, ownership, and implementing practical, scalable solutions with room to grow inside a stable, profitable company.
Friends and family might tell you to find a job where you can grow, but what if you could find a company that actually gives you the time and freedom to do it? What if I told you there was a stable, profitable, century-old manufacturing company looking for a talented Infrastructure/Network Engineer who enjoys solving problems, wearing multiple hats, and getting hands-on with just about anything involving technology?
It’s true, and it’s a pretty unique opportunity! This company has built a reputation for stability, with long employee tenures, very low turnover, and no history of layoffs. Unlike companies constantly worried about cutting costs, this organization is profitable and actively investing in its future. You’ll join a small, collaborative IT team where you can work across servers, networking, systems administration, hardware, and infrastructure support instead of getting stuck doing the same thing every day. You’ll have the freedom to bring ideas to the table, troubleshoot problems your own way, and even carve out time during the workweek to explore new technologies and work on projects that interest you.
Use your Windows Server, networking, virtualization, and troubleshooting experience to keep critical infrastructure running across manufacturing operations in Texas, California, and Georgia. This isn't a highly structured environment where every task comes with a step-by-step instruction manual. You'll need to be curious, resourceful, and comfortable figuring things out as you go. One day you might be patching servers or troubleshooting a VPN, and the next you could be tracking down an issue with a network-connected manufacturing device that nobody has encountered before. If you enjoy being the person who can connect the dots, research a problem, and see it through to a solution, you'll fit right in.
And if cybersecurity is an area you've been wanting to explore, there's even more potential here. The company is modernizing its security environment and implementing initiatives around Zero Trust, endpoint security, MFA, vulnerability remediation, and authentication. You don't need to be a cybersecurity expert to land this role, but if you want to expand your skills in that direction, you'll have opportunities to get involved in meaningful projects while building on your infrastructure experience. Add a growing business, a team that values learning, and the opportunity to make a real impact, and you've got a role where you can keep developing without having to leave your job to find your next challenge!
You’ll have the opportunity to work with a little bit of everything, learn new technologies on the job, and join a stable company that genuinely invests in its people. You'll be trusted to take ownership, encouraged to share ideas, and given room to grow your skills while supporting an evolving infrastructure environment.
If you prefer staying in your own technology lane, need detailed instructions for every task, or aren't comfortable troubleshooting unfamiliar systems, this probably isn't the right role for you. The team needs someone who can roll up their sleeves, stay calm when things get complicated, and figure out the solution. You'll also need to be comfortable working onsite five days a week and occasionally providing after-hours or weekend support when infrastructure needs arise.
This is your chance to join a company where stability doesn't mean standing still. You'll get the best of both worlds: a solid organization with a strong track record and the freedom to keep learning, solve interesting problems, and expand your technical skill set. If you're an Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and wants room to grow, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
