Job summary

SWENSON is seeking an experienced IT Operations & Infrastructure specialist in San Jose, California to manage and support the company's IT systems across multiple offices and job sites. The role covers Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Cisco networking, Google Workspace, and field deployments.

You will lead daily IT operations, enforce cybersecurity practices, provide tier 1–3 helpdesk, maintain documentation, and coordinate with vendors.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in network or systems administration.
• Experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
• Experience with VMware virtualization.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco switching and enterprise networks.
• Experience administering Google Workspace.
• Experience providing multi-office helpdesk support.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple locations.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and travel across Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure across offices.
• Oversee daily IT operations to ensure reliability and security.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware environments.
• Maintain Google Workspace administration and security policies.
• Monitor system health, uptime, and performance across locations.
• Provide Tier 1–3 helpdesk support to staff and approved users.
• Plan and deploy IT at construction job sites and field offices.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage IT assets and inventory.
