Job summary

Manufacturing Company near Kansas City is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and plant operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role is open to mid-level or senior technicians, depending on experience, with emphasis on reducing downtime, troubleshooting complex systems, and building a culture of continuous improvement.

Shifts include 1st and 2nd, with 24/7 coverage in a rotating schedule; compensation is hourly and aligned to Tech II/III

Qualifications

• 3+ years industrial maintenance experience (Tech II) or 8–10+ years (Tech III).
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, PLC, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently in a production environment.
• Experience with high and low voltage systems, drives, and control wiring.
• Comfortable with automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
• Root cause analysis mindset.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLCs, controls, and automated equipment.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to identify issues.
• Repair or replace defective components and support installation of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate updates to leadership.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Partner with operations to reduce downtime and improve production flow.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in plant safety programs.
