Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Waco, TX to perform preventative maintenance and repair of production and facility equipment. You will work with technicians, ensure a safe workplace, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years in industrial maintenance, ability to read blueprints, use gauges, and weld. On-site work with competitive benefits, including health coverage and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in Industrial Maintenance.
• Understand, read and write Standard English and perform shop math calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Read blueprints, sketches, and schematics; use scales, vernier calipers, micrometers, and other gauges.
• Operate mobile equipment, power shears, benders, grinders, powered hand and machine tools and related equipment.
• Perform arc and acetylene welding.
• Identify components in manufacturers' maintenance and parts manuals.
• Legal work eligibility in the United States; ITAR restrictions apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Install and/or maintain varied types of machinery and other equipment.
• Observe, test, and diagnose operation of machinery to identify malfunctions.
• Disassemble and repair/replace worn components; reassemble and test.
• Weld new or worn machine parts.
• Fabricate sheet metal parts such as covers and guards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Record repair time, parts, and maintenance notes in the CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
