Job summary

Howmet's Houston Extrusion Plant is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance duties on electrical systems, motors, PLCs and related equipment to ensure reliable operations in a high-demand aerospace/ defense environment.

You will generate unplanned work orders, coordinate with contractors, and uphold strict safety policies while maintaining accurate records and logs for equipment inspections and repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with protective relays, motor starters, and variable frequency drives.
• Knowledge of AC/DC motor control, PLC programming, and industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Generate unplanned work orders to address equipment issues as they arise.
• Cover shop call and tap changes as they arise.
• Complete work orders and PMs in a timely manner.
• Maintain logs of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
• Assist senior technicians with projects.
