Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Hypersonic Aeropropulsion Test Analyst to support AEDC's 715th Test Squadron at Arnold AFB, TN. The role involves planning, executing, and analyzing ground tests of high-speed propulsion systems, with data-driven decision-making and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualified candidates will have a STEM degree, 3+ years in aeropropulsion or related fields, and proficiency in MATLAB/Python. U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of aeropropulsion, wind tunnel testing, or hypersonic aerodynamics experience.
• Proficiency in data analysis and engineering software (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
• Familiarity with high-speed propulsion systems and compressible flow dynamics.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and analyze hypersonic aeropropulsion ground tests for AEDC's 715 TS.
• Analyze data from wind tunnels and propulsion facilities (e.g., APTU).
• Develop test plans, matrices, and safety packages with engineers and stakeholders.
• Use data acquisition and post-test tools to evaluate scramjet, ramjet, and other high-speed propulsion systems.
• Communicate test results and anomalies through reports, briefings, and presentations.
• Collaborate with facility personnel, government customers, and primes to meet objectives.
