Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Hypersonic Aerothermal Test Engineer/Analyst to support the 715th Test Squadron at AEDC. The role is onsite at Arnold AFB, TN, and requires a strong background in aerothermal testing, TPS ablation, and numerical modeling.

You will lead test planning, data analysis, and collaboration with government customers to ensure mission success. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in hypersonic flight or ground testing, a Bachelor's degree, and the ability to

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years of direct experience in hypersonic flight or ground testing.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete test inquiry, planning, and execution process for hypersonic ground tests.
• Advise government and customers in assessing test conditions and interactions.
• Develop requirements, objectives, and success criteria for hypersonic weapon systems.
• Perform in-depth analysis of test data and prepare reports documenting planning, processing, and conclusions.
• Utilize simulations to support testing activities and provide expert aerothermal insights.
• Provide senior aerothermal engineering expertise and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with senior staff and stakeholders, communicating clearly in written and oral form.
