Job summary

Med-National Staffing Inc. is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer to route hydraulic and pneumatic lines using CATIA and Creo.

You will support engineering teams with 3D modeling, drawing development, BOM management, and design updates through prototype and production builds. Responsibilities include creating routing layouts, generating 3D models and 2D drawings, applying GD&T, collaborating with engineers, and maintaining ERP part records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and design experience.
• Hands-on experience routing hydraulic and pneumatic lines.
• Proficiency with CATIA/Creo and routing capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydraulic and pneumatic line routing layouts using CATIA and/or Creo.
• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings for parts, assemblies, and sub-weldments.
• Apply GD&T practices when updating drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers to validate designs.
• Create and revise bills of materials and engineering change notices.
• Use ERP systems to manage part numbers and data.
• Obtain technical information from internal teams and suppliers.
• Check drawings for accuracy, dimensions, tolerances, and CAD standards compliance.
• Provide technical support for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
• Investigate design issues with engineering teams.
