Job summary

Med-National Staffing Inc. seeks a mid-level Design Engineer II to support mechanical product and system design from concept through detailed drawings. Location: New Hudson, MI 48165.

Pay rate: $60.00-$64.00 per hour. This contract is approximately three months and is onsite, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule. You will work with a Design Team Lead on CAD modeling, structural analysis, and GD&T, requiring strong Creo/NX/CATIA and ANSYS Mechanical Workbench experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• At least three years of professional engineering experience.
• Proficient in parametric 3D CAD using Creo, Siemens NX or CATIA.
• Hands-on ANSYS Mechanical Workbench experience.
• Experience with structural analysis and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop vehicle, mechanical product, and system components.
• Create system models and characterize mechanical performance.
• Develop CAD concepts, assemblies, and packaging layouts.
• Apply linear-static finite element analysis to evaluate designs.
• Use ANSYS Mechanical Workbench for structural analysis.
• Prepare detailed drawings and engineering documentation per ASME Y14.5.
• Support prototype builds and collaborate with customers, engineers, and manufacturing teams.
• Present technical results and recommendations to customers.
