Job summary

UL Solutions in Plano, TX seeks an Assembly Technician for an onsite role on 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm). You will set up and operate test equipment, read blueprints, and document results while coordinating with engineers. HVAC background and EPA certification are preferred.

The successful candidate will work with a team, ensure safety and accuracy, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in testing laboratories.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or 2-year degree in HVAC.
• Universal EPA certification.
• Prior HVAC installation, repair, or testing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work one of the above shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform equipment and test setups for clients.
• Build or adapt setup and test equipment for performance of tests.
• Read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operation instructions.
• Follow defined test plans and datasheets.
• Record and explain test results and complete test reports.
• Maintain designated test equipment and laboratory area.
