Job summary

Albireo is seeking an HVAC Controls Engineer I for an onsite role in the Greater Boston Area. Responsibilities include programming HVAC sequences, startup and commissioning of large systems, and documenting RFIs. Strong PLC or alternative language experience is preferred.

Applicants should have an engineering degree (or 2+ years experience) and be comfortable traveling to construction sites. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Visio and team communication is important for success.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or 2+ years industry experience.
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Visio.
• Experience with building automation / PLC programming or other languages (e.g. Python, SQL).
• Ability to travel to and work on construction sites for commissioning/startup.
• Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company professionally.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to understand project intent.
• Break down scope and communicate to Project/Engineering Manager for scheduling.
• Attend/receive minutes from software and graphics review meetings with customers and reps.
• Create and route RFI documentation to Systems Engineer, Project Manager, and Engineering Manager.
• Follow sequence of operations and develop engineered sequences and commissioning documents.
