Albireo Energy, LLC is seeking a Controls Design Engineer to design building automation systems for large commercial facilities, participate in turnover meetings, and coordinate with contractors to ensure system feasibility.

The role involves collaborating with MEP engineers, selecting cost-effective solutions, and delivering complete engineering packages for client approval and installation teams. Site visits and field engineering are required as needed.

Formación

• Engineering degree (BSME or BSEE (EE preferred)) from an accredited college or university or a 2-year HVAC technical degree with 2+ years of experience in building automation or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Knowledge and understanding of industrial HVAC applications, ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical control systems to include: DDC controllers, instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, relays and actuators.
• Understanding of flow dynamics to apply the appropriate measuring devices, control valve selection, and sizing.
• Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols; Bacnet/IP, BacNet MS/TP, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU and LON to provide system network diagrams and integration to 3rd party equipment and systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Microsoft Visio experience is preferred, AutoCAD or other BIM software is suitable.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design building automation systems for large commercial offices, data centers, and educational facilities.
• Participate in sales turnover meetings to receive project drawings, specs, and details.
• Coordinate with contractors to obtain documentation and ensure compatibility of equipment.
• Collaborate with MEP Design Engineers to provide specifications and sequences.
• Apply equipment and devices to meet project specs cost-effectively.
• Prepare a complete engineering package: diagrams, wiring, layouts, BOM, submittals.
• Provide technical support to sales, installation, commissioning, and service teams.
• Visit sites for field engineering of retrofits, upgrades, or new construction inspections.
