Job summary

Mittera is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead the HR department on-site in Illinois. The role directs hiring, compensation, benefits, leave, and worker’s compensation, while enforcing company policies and practices.

The ideal candidate will coordinate with leadership to address talent needs, manage disciplinary actions, ensure OSHA compliance, and maintain employment law compliance across the facility. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR or related field required.
• PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP highly desired.
• Minimum two years HR management experience preferred in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Partners with leadership to implement HR and talent strategies for current and future needs.
• Provide guidance to management on complex HR issues and investigations.
• Act as liaison between corporate HR and the Business Unit.
• Oversee talent acquisition including production and admin roles; collaborate with managers on skills needs.
• Prepare internal communications on compensation, benefits, and policies.
• Create learning and development programs for employee growth.
• Oversee disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
