Job summary

New England Truck Center (NETC) is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join our Exeter, NH team. This hands-on, full-spectrum HR role focuses on payroll administration and general HR functions across multiple states.

You will support recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and HRIS data integrity in a fully onsite environment with occasional travel to other NETC locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a full-time HR role.
• General knowledge of payroll processes, timekeeping, deductions, and pay cycles.
• Familiarity with HR fundamentals across recruiting, onboarding, and benefits.
• Strong attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work onsite and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Payroll administration (~40%): process weekly payroll, audit timekeeping, handle garnishments and deductions.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure wage/hour law compliance across multiple states.
• Collaborate with Finance on payroll reconciliation and reporting; respond to payroll queries.
• General HR functions (~60%): full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, benefits enrollment, HRIS data integrity.
• Handle employee relations, policy communications, and HR projects; occasional travel to other NETC sites.
