Job summary

Nielsen Massey Vanillas Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to lead onsite HR operations at our Waukegan, IL facility. This role drives employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance processes, and payroll administration in alignment with our family‑owned culture.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and is proficient with HRIS systems and ADP, with strong communication skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university; PHR or SHRM‑CP certification preferred.
• Demonstrated onsite HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production, or hourly workforce environment.
• Strong working knowledge of HRIS platforms, including ADP, with data management and payroll experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite HR partner translating HR strategy into day‑to‑day execution.
• Collaborate with managers on goal setting, performance documentation, and employee development.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to meet staffing needs.
• Handle employee relations matters, investigations, policy interpretation, and compliance.
• Oversee HR operations, data integrity, reporting, and HRIS system updates.
