Job summary

Everforth Apex in Oklahoma City is seeking a Resident HPC HW Technician Specialist to support a supercomputer system at a customer site. The role involves daily break-fix work, hardware diagnostics, and site coordination with customer and remote teams.

You will work 3-4 days per week, with occasional travel for training and hardware repairs, and must have a Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent (or 8+ years of relevant experience).

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent in computer science or related area. Without a degree, 8+ years total experience required.
• Experience: 5+ years of Linux HPC-related experience with large-scale HPC system administration and hardware support.
• Technical Skills: Strong experience with Linux/Unix OS, file systems, networking, and security (Redhat/CentOS or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Maintain Linux Supercomputer systems availability for the customer.
• Perform hardware diagnostics and repairs as required.
• Gather data, analyze, and escalate problems to higher-level support and management.
• Work under the direction of a Project/Technical Manager and with customer representatives.
• Provide technical and operational support and guidance to the customer.
• Contribute to knowledge tools and ensure project learnings are documented and shared.
• Provide advice on solution and integration opportunities.
