Job summary

Plus Dane Housing is seeking a Supported Housing Officer to manage a 10-bed scheme at Macclesfield or Congleton, Cheshire, providing housing management and support to residents experiencing homelessness and helping them move toward independent or suitable accommodation on-site.

This permanent role is based in Cheshire with a 35-hour week, offering a competitive salary and benefits package to support wellbeing and progression within Plus Dane Housing.

Qualifications

• Qualifications demonstrating sound literacy and numeracy (e.g., GCSE English & Maths A-C or equivalent)
• Experience working with vulnerable people in supported housing
• Strong communication, administration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Computer literacy and attention to confidentiality
• A positive, flexible, and person-centred approach
• Be able to commute to Macclesfield and Congleton

Responsibilities

• Providing onsite management and supervision of the scheme, including security, maintenance, health and safety, and cleanliness
• Supporting vulnerable people to make informed choices and move towards independence
• Implementing and reviewing support plans with clear outcomes
• Ensuring accurate records and comprehensive inductions for all customers
• Taking prompt action on tenancy issues and anti-social behaviour
• Promoting service user participation and positive community relationships
• Liaising with internal teams and external agencies to maximise support for residents
• Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and health & safety standards
