Job summary

New Beginnings Counseling Center in Santa Barbara is hiring a Supportive Services Specialist to provide essential case management for tenants at Quality Inn PSH. The role involves supporting low-income individuals in their housing, fostering community wellness, and liaising with other providers.

The ideal candidate will have experience with marginalized populations and possess excellent communication skills. This full-time position offers a salary of $31–32 per hour along with medical benefits and generous time off.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with case management, preferably with the unhoused or low-income individuals.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Knowledge of mental disorders and chemical dependency dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate tenant connection to community programs and resources.
• Coordinate wellness activities and assist with fiscal responsibilities.
• Document tenant progress and meet with tenants regularly.

Skills

Experience with marginalized populations

Verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of HMIS

Ability to work collaboratively

Computer literacy

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Services
