New Beginnings Counseling Center in Santa Barbara is hiring a Supportive Services Specialist to provide essential case management for tenants at Quality Inn PSH. The role involves supporting low-income individuals in their housing, fostering community wellness, and liaising with other providers.
The ideal candidate will have experience with marginalized populations and possess excellent communication skills. This full-time position offers a salary of $31–32 per hour along with medical benefits and generous time off.
The Quality Inn PSH Supportive Services Specialist will serve as the on‑site case management support for Quality Inn PSH, the City Housing Authority’s 28‑unit permanent supportive housing apartment development for very‑low and low‑income individuals. The Supportive Services Specialist will report to New Beginnings and will meet with tenant clients to provide supportive services and to promote housing retention, community integration, life skills, coordination with other community providers, and improved mental health and wellness.
Work hours are Monday – Friday, 9–6 although there may be some occasional nighttime or weekend hours to facilitate property activities, attend and/or table community events and/or to manage any off‑hour client crises that may arise. Must have a working vehicle with liability insurance and pass a background check. Salary is 40 hours, non‑exempt, at $31–32 per hour with medical, vision and dental benefits provided, 403(b) match, Aflac participation, as well as generous paid time off. Position begins immediately.
