Job summary

Stanford Health Care seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to support healthcare construction across SHC facilities. You will coordinate on-site management, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and lead field execution with engineering, operations, and clinical partners.

This role requires presence at multiple SHC facilities across the Bay Area, strong communication, and cost/schedule control. Prior healthcare construction experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating construction projects, especially in healthcare or complex occupied environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for field reports and logs.
• Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and quality controls in construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Support General Contractor procurement and bid evaluation, scope alignment, and contract documentation.
• Lead weekly construction progress meetings and capture decisions and actions.
• Track RFIs, submittals, substitutions, and change orders with logs of costs and schedule impacts.
• Support schedule management, cost control, and look-ahead schedules; flag variances.
• Conduct site walks and field inspections; document observations with photos and reports.
• Assist with cost management: contractor pay apps, reconciliation, and change orders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast cash flow and cost reports; maintain logs.
• Coordinate access, inspections, permits, and testing with agencies and teams.
• Manage the change order process and prepare closeout materials.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and compliance documentation for audits.
