Job summary

Omnicell is seeking a Field Service Engineer I or II to ensure reliable operation of hospital automation systems. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electro‑mechanical and robotic automation onsite, partnering with nursing, pharmacy, and healthcare leaders to deliver exceptional service.

You will document service activities, meet SLAs, and collaborate with product teams to resolve complex issues while supporting trunk stock and logistics.

Qualifications

• Coursework or training in Network Engineering, Electronics, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues.
• Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and resolve electro‑mechanical, automation, and system issues onsite to restore functionality quickly and effectively.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance to optimize system performance and minimize downtime.
• Deliver Exceptional Service: Build strong relationships with nursing, pharmacy, and healthcare leaders through clear communication and responsiveness.
• Manage Service Events: Accurately document all service activities, including repairs, escalations, and follow-ups in accordance with company policies.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Meet or exceed service-level agreements (SLAs), response times, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Escalate & Collaborate: Identify product issues, bugs, or design challenges and elevate through appropriate technical support channels.
• Inventory & Logistics Management: Maintain trunk stock, manage parts inventory, and ensure timely return of materials.
• Cross-Functional Engagement: Partner with internal teams to improve service delivery, product performance, and customer experience.
