Job summary

Sierra Forest Products is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives and ensure HSMS compliance across units. This onsite role in Salt Lake City emphasizes safety leadership and program development.

You will drive training, investigations, audits, and risk assessments to foster a proactive safety culture and prevent injuries. 5–10 years in safety plus an associate degree are expected.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years progressive health and safety experience including managing staff.
• Associate degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is required.
• Proficient knowledge of health and safety regulations and laws.
• Must be comfortable travelling.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership – implement safety and loss control processes across regions.
• Safety Programs – direct Occupational Health and Safety Program and improvements.
• Safety Performance – analyze health and safety metrics for decision making.
• Training and Coaching – develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Investigations – lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Audits – prepare for and lead health & safety audits.
• Safety Systems – develop HSMS-aligned solutions.
