Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise invites applications for a Hardware Service Engineer Intern based onsite in Texas. You will repair and maintain HPC hardware, review tickets, and collaborate with a cross-functional team using modern tools and communication channels.

Current students pursuing a technical Bachelor's degree gain hands-on experience, training on specialized hardware, and exposure to server, network, and storage components, with a focus on learning and growth within a global edge-to-cloud

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical field; hands-on project exposure.
• Familiarity with programming languages or technical tools relevant to the role.
• Interest in HPC and continuous learning is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance on HPC compute, network, and storage hardware
• Review tickets for hardware actions and documentation in systems
• Collaborate with team via face-to-face, phone, email, Teams and Slack
• Complete training on specialized compute hardware and components
• Read system docs/diagrams to identify components in the system
• Assist with system installation activities and parts inventory
• Lift and move parts up to 50 lbs; up to 75 lbs with assistance
• Support senior team members on technical projects as assigned
