Job summary

RTX in Andover, MA is seeking a Hardware Lab Lead to manage and evolve engineering labs, focusing on safety, security, and compliance. You will lead lab projects, coordinate with customers and senior leaders, and oversee equipment, procurement, and audits.

The role requires a BS in STEM or equivalent, 5+ years in a lab setting (or 3+ with advanced degree), and eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance. Onsite in Andover with travel to multiple labs may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years in an engineering lab overseeing safety, security, and property management.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Lab Operating Procedures and provide direction for lab users.
• Coordinate Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainment activities.
• Manage property & metrology, service contracts, and repairs.
• Perform cost analyses and ensure budgets are met.
• Process lab purchases via SAP, SRM, and Vallen with SCM support.
• Prepare for audits, support EHS/LP programs, and develop corrective actions.
• Safeguard classified material and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop communication plans and advise management and customers.
• Influence stakeholders and operate with limited supervision.
• Be able to work standing/walking and travel as needed.
