Job summary

University of Central Arkansas is seeking a Maintenance Assistant—Grounds, onsite at the Grounds Maintenance department. This role focuses on general grounds upkeep and supporting campus events.

Responsibilities include lawn care, debris removal, pressure washing, and maintaining equipment. Candidates should have two years of groundskeeping experience, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. UCA offers solid benefits and development.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in groundskeeping or related maintenance.
• Ability to read and write; follow safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• General lawn care: mowing, planting, trimming, fertilizing, mulching, sweeping.
• Remove trash and recyclables from grounds.
• Pressure wash sidewalks, patios, dumpster sites and exteriors.
• Support move-ins/outs and special events.
• Care for equipment, tools, and supplies; keep shop orderly.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop.
• Read and follow all safety instructions.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
