Job summary

Augusta University is seeking a Grounds Keeper to maintain and beautify campus grounds, operate equipment, and support events. This role requires attention to safety, ability to lift 75 lbs, and reliable teamwork across Facilities Services.

You will prune shrubs, mow lawns, manage waste, assist with event setups, and help maintain grounds vehicles and storage areas. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license to operate golf carts and vehicles.
• Experience in grounds maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Ground Covers, Shrubs, Trees, and Turf Grass.
• Prunes shrubs and trees; mows lawns with proper equipment; remove debris.
• Line trims around signs, trees, valve boxes and edges along walks.
• Controls weeds with mulch and herbicides; applies fertilizer; water plants.
• Maintains Grounds Equipment; performs routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Operates Vehicles and Equipment; drives campus vehicles safely.
• Assists with event setups and preparation of locations.
• Cleans and organizes Grounds Warehouse; stores tools properly.
• Performs related duties; wears uniform and maintains hygiene.
