Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace System (NGAS) seeks an Accountant in Melbourne, FL to support the Business Management Organization on-site. You will prepare, review and submit government and commercial billings, monitor receivables, and analyze financial data to ensure timely cash collection and accurate reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting or related field (or a Master’s) with experience, Excel proficiency, and the ability to obtain a US government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or related field with 2 years of accounting experience or a Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and SAP or similar financial systems.
• Ability to work on site in Melbourne, FL and obtain a US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews, and submits customer billings.
• Applies accounting principles to compile and analyze financial information for Government and Commercial billings.
• Maintains and oversees collection of aged billed receivables.
• Monitors miscellaneous accounts receivable reporting and resolution of payment issues.
• Performs analysis of unbilled balances.
• Supports monthly cash collection and forecasting goals.
• Interfaces with internal and external customers.
• Supports banking and treasury requirements.
• Completes special projects as needed.
