Job summary
Safran Federal Systems Inc. is seeking an on-site Field Applications Engineer to lead deployment and support of GNSS simulation systems and PNT products for US DoW customers.
You will ensure successful test scenarios and coordinate with engineering for improvements, while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes hands-on installation, calibration, testing, and on-site guidance, with travel to support client sites as needed and the potential to obtain
Qualifications
- Minimum five years in field applications engineering or related technical role.
- Experience with PNT/GNSS and simulation is a plus.
- Strong hands-on skills in installing, integrating, testing, and maintaining systems.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary on-site technical point of contact for assigned customer(s).
- Identify requirements and translate needs into deployment recommendations.
- Lead installation, integration, calibration, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
- Lead and support system testing, analysis, and corrective actions.
- Diagnose complex issues and coordinate with engineering and support.
- Collaborate with customer, PM, engineering, and support to meet commitments.
- Evaluate performance and feedback to suggest reliability improvements.
- Communicate findings, status, risks, and solutions to stakeholders.
- Develop procedures, provide demonstrations and training, maintain records.
- Manage competing priorities with minimal supervision on-site.
