Safran Electronics & Defense is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our Timing Products team in West Henrietta, NY. The role focuses on developing automated and manual tests for GPS-based and timing software in a collaborative global environment.

The candidate will design tests, run verifications on new products and features, and contribute to process improvements while working with cross-functional teams in an on-site setting in Rochester, NY.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information or related field.
• 3–5 years of software test experience in an agile environment.
• Experience with test management tools.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Python, Robot Framework.
• ISQTB certification is a nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated and manual test cases for GPS-based and PNT software.
• Test new products, features, and releases to ensure high quality.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework; Playwright/Selenium.
• Configure and test embedded software with oscilloscopes and frequency counters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure traceability to requirements.
• Participate in daily SCRUM/Kanban and contribute to process improvements.
