Carlisle Construction Materials in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a forklift operator responsible for pulling/picking and loading outbound shipments and unloading inbound deliveries at our facility.

You will operate a propane sit-down forklift, sort shipments, load/unload materials, move products to pallets, and ensure safety and accuracy. Requires one year of forklift experience in manufacturing and a High School diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Shipping and Receiving.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management.
• Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate a propane sit-down forklift.
• Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to fulfill orders.
• Load finished materials for transport and unload raw materials.
• Move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Inspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety.
• Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare to label.
• Follow shipping work orders.
