JCSI in Costa Mesa, CA seeks a detail-oriented Food Safety Quality Assurance Coordinator to support day-to-day QA activities at our facility. This role helps maintain the Global Quality System and ensure compliance with FDA, USDA and airline requirements.

Reporting to the Food Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee inspections, audits, environmental monitoring, documentation review and training. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is important in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer with Word, Excel and PowerPoint; other systems trained on the job.
• Background in food production or food-service is a plus, esp. with CCPs or HACCP.
• HACCP, PCQI, or USDA-related experience or certification is a strong plus.
• Ability to work in a cold environment (under 40°F).
• Ability to lift/push a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Strong math, analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and problem-solve.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, large-group setting.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays due to 24/7 operation.

Responsabilités

• Maintain recordkeeping and KPIs related to Food Safety, Sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform daily monitoring of GMPs.
• Verify cooler and freezer temperature compliance.
• Conduct environmental swabs and microbiological sampling and submit to a local lab.
• Pull samples to verify compliance with specifications.
• Train and support the Quality Manager with daily quality initiatives.
• Conduct workstation inspections (PHF setup, HACCP docs).
• Conduct portion control weight checks and inspection checks.
• Verify HACCP logs and related documentation daily.
• Create charts, trending reports, training materials and visuals.
• Maintain and train employees on USDA Regulated Garbage Standards.
• Support commissary locations with oversight as needed.
• Train hourly employees and perform other duties as assigned.
