Herc Rentals Inc. is seeking a Field Service Mechanic B in Sparks, NV. This full-time role involves performing preventative maintenance on a fleet at customer sites, diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, and providing on-site servicing to ensure reliability.

You will communicate with customers, follow safety guidelines, and document service logs to support fleet uptime. The job requires a high school diploma, tool ownership, ability to operate heavy equipment, and an on-call availability to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read technical schematics and manuals.
• Own a selection of hand and power tools for repairs.
• Operate and test equipment (boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators, hydraulics).
• On-call to support operations.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Herc fleet at customer sites.
• Oversee oil changes, lubrication, tire and battery work.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to keep it in operating condition.
• Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Return equipment to safe working order and document service reports.
• Educate customers on proper equipment use to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and accurate logs.
• Build positive relationships with customers and follow company procedures.
