Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Project Manager to profitably execute small-dollar Fire Install Projects in the Seattle area. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, costs, and schedules, and pursue favorable change orders to optimize cash flow.

Responsibilities include developing execution plans, supervising execution teams, and ensuring compliance with contracts, safety policies, and company standards while maintaining strong customer relationships. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• Associate degree with equivalent work-related experience and/or 5+ years field experience in Building Construction Industry required.
• Ability to communicate technical material to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Travel may be required based on project assignment.
• Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems (MS Project, MS Office, Adobe Writer, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to project execution teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop a Project Execution Plan with WBS, Organizational Chart, Safety Plan, and Schedules.
• Evaluate contractual scope and client directives; pursue change orders and cost estimates.
• Manage project billing, accounts payable, and cash flow.
• Ensure work complies with terms, safety standards, and customer satisfaction.
• Review contracts to meet JCI standards; communicate progress to management.
• Coordinate resources with PM/Construction Manager to meet objectives.
• Assist sales and development efforts and provide feedback on engineers and designers.
