Job summary

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a Financial Aid Officer to guide students through eligibility, applications, and funding options. You will support FAFSA, verify awards, and explain loan terms to help students budget and borrow responsibly.

You will ensure accurate packaging and disbursement of aid, maintain records, and work with academic and student services to provide a seamless student experience onsite at our campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial aid, student services, customer service, or a related field.
• Strong customer service orientation with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Detail-focused with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and counseling skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Must be eligible to enroll in the NSLDS.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and families on financial aid eligibility, application procedures, and funding sources.
• Support FAFSA completion, verification, and award acceptance.
• Explain loan terms and budgeting concepts clearly to students and families.
• Provide guidance to resolve financial aid issues affecting enrollment or education.
• Package and process financial aid awards in compliance with regulations.
• Keep student records up to date for timely disbursement of aid.
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies in student accounts to maintain financial integrity.
• Stay informed on changes to financial aid laws, policies and best practices.
• Communicate with students regarding documentation requirements and award status.
• Review student accounts to ensure aid is disbursed on schedule.
• Collaborate with academic and student services to deliver a cohesive student experience.
• Maintain records of student interactions and ensure aid documentation is accurate.
