Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a skilled Final Assembly Technician to join our production team in Minnesota. This role focuses on the mechanical and electrical assembly of large-scale power equipment, with emphasis on transformers and mobile substations.

Candidates should be comfortable with heavy machinery, confined spaces, and variable weather conditions. The position requires reading engineering drawings and tight PPE adherence, ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of verified experience in project-based equipment assembly.
• Associate’s degree with a focus on electro-mechanical applications or a heavily related technical field.
• Proven ability to read, interpret, and work directly from complex engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documents.
• Commitment to wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while performing tasks on the production floor.
• Actively maintain a safe work environment and support company safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components according to engineering drawings and released work instructions.
• Handle the disassembly and re-assembly of transformer mechanical and electrical accessory components.
• Disassemble, re-assemble, and tank core and coil assemblies in preparation for final testing.
• Perform transformer oil processing and oil flushing procedures on radiators.
• Complete incoming receiving inspections on new transformers and mobile substations to verify quality.
• Handle the final preparation of transformers and accessories for transport, including secure freight loading.
