Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an On‑Site Repair (OSR) Winder‑Apprentice to learn and assist in the repair of stator and generator field equipment. You will perform measurements, support winding tasks, and work under the supervision of the Winding work‑leader in a safety‑conscious environment.

Responsibilities include tool setup, daily safety observations, time reporting, and adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies. Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with minimum 2 years classroom training in Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Technology or equivalent experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to walk/stand for up to 12 hours; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check; nuclear clearance may be required.
• Ability to read measurement devices and interpret technical instructions.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up mechanical/electrical tooling and equipment as directed.
• Assist in measuring stator and field components and perform basic winding tasks.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and environmental health compliance.
• Record daily time and complete risk assessments and safety observations.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out duties per site procedures.
• Support lead technicians and field core team with tasks as requested.
