Job summary

Hewlett Packard Co. in the United States, specifically the Columbia/Fort Mill area, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to serve as the dedicated onsite technical resource for HP Indigo Digital Printing Presses.

You will maximize equipment availability, respond quickly to production-impacting issues, and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical/electromechanical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and a proven ability to communicate clearly

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; technical competence welcomed.
Typically 6–8 years of related technical service experience preferred.
Experience with HP Indigo Digital Printing Presses is highly desirable.
Experience working onsite with customers and production environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Serve as the dedicated onsite HP technical resource for the customer’s production environment.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues in electrical, electronic, electromechanical, software, and digital printing systems.
Provide break-fix, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and escalation support for HP Indigo presses.
Coordinate with HP specialists and remote resources when needed; lead onsite escalations.
Maintain clear, timely communication with the customer and stakeholders.
