Job summary

District Photo Inc. seeks an experienced HP Indigo Operator for our Phoenix factory to operate and maintain digital press and bindery equipment.

The role requires handling HP Indigo and related machinery, ensuring quality, and performing routine maintenance. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in print press operations, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work a schedule that includes early mornings and potential overtime during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating specialized print press machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Must be fluent in English, with strong reading and writing skills to interpret technical documents, job specifications, complete reports, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Familiarity with safety standards, 6S and quality control procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a flexible schedule during high production peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HP Indigo, Canon, and other bindery equipment.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance to uphold quality standards.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths as indicated by templates or scales.
• Monitor machine operation to detect defects and escalate issues as needed.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance and document accordingly.
• Train new operators to uphold production standards and safety policies.
• Assist others in setup and tasks to meet deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency across all tasks.
