Job summary
ABB is seeking a Process Analytics Field Service professional to work on-site in Port Arthur, TX, with open locations in Beaumont, Orange, Port Arthur and Lake Charles. You will identify operational improvements, perform commissioning and maintenance, and train field staff and customers in analytical equipment.
The role requires a technical degree with experience in gas analyzers and gas chromatographs, strong customer relations, and willingness to travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or technical degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Alternatively, Associate's degree/HS diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong technical skills in startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive and unplanned maintenance of analytical products (gas analyzers, gas chromatographs).
- Willingness to travel ~10% and to possess a valid passport and driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points while on-site.
- Perform field service tasks, diagnose issues, and analyze remotely or on-site.
- Prepare material lists and ensure availability of parts and equipment for service activities.
- Serve as trainer for field service staff and customers as needed.
- Perform commissioning/start-up, troubleshooting, repair services, and preventive maintenance on analytical equipment.
