Job summary

SMARTECH-CSI is seeking an experienced Tier II Field Service Hardware Technician to provide onsite break/fix support for commercial customers in an assigned territory. This contractor position requires daily travel to customer locations to diagnose, repair, and replace computer hardware and peripheral equipment.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and capable of independently managing service calls while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field break/fix computer hardware experience.
• Strong troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation suitable for daily travel.

Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatched service calls within SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, workstations, servers and peripherals onsite.
• Replace hardware components such as drives, memory, mobos, power supplies and displays.
• Troubleshoot Windows hardware/OS issues; configure BIOS and drivers as needed.
• Support printers, scanners, POS systems and network devices.
• Document all work, parts used, and customer sign-offs via mobile app.
• Maintain inventory and follow company procedures for defective parts.
