Job summary

RTX is seeking a Field Service Engineer – Onsite at Langley AFB to deploy and support software in the Air Force SIL environment and liaise between commercial development and AF‑DCGS needs.

You will ensure releases meet security and readiness standards, support site deployments, troubleshoot, and collaborate with Air Force counterparts. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570/IAT/IAM certs, RMF/STIG expertise, and Docker/Kubernetes skills.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance.
• Current DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II or IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, CAP).
• Expertise in RMF compliance, DISA STIG implementation and documentation.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines for deployment and release processes.
• Strong background in Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
• Experience with ACAS/SCAP vulnerability scanning and result interpretation.
• Proficiency troubleshooting complex system issues in mission or operational environments.
• Experience with Cross Domain Solutions and Site Acceptance Testing.
• STEM degree or Advanced Degree with 5+ years relevant experience (or 3+ years advanced degree).

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support software solutions in the Air Force SIL environment, serving as liaison between commercial development cycles and AF‑DCGS operational requirements.
• Ensure software releases meet compliance, security, and operational readiness standards while supporting site deployments, troubleshooting, and collaboration with Air Force counterparts.
• Validate system performance, support acceptance testing, and ensure secure, reliable integration in mission environments.
