Job summary

AllSearch Staffing Group is seeking a Construction Project Engineer in Detroit, MI to support Project Managers with coordination, documentation, and scheduling on industrial, automotive, and education projects.

You will manage project documents, track submittals and RFIs, help coordinate subcontractors, and assist with site logistics while upholding safety policies and quality controls. This is a full-time role with base salary up to $85k and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 2+ years of professional construction experience.
• Experience with industrial, automotive, or higher education construction projects.
• Knowledge of construction engineering, codes, and standards.
• Experience with project document control, scheduling, submittals, RFIs, change orders, subcontractor coordination, and construction project administration.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with project coordination and communication among owners, contractors, subcontractors, and project team members.
• Provide technical support for the resolution and tracking of construction project issues.
• Manage project document control and construction documentation.
• Maintain project schedules and assist with construction scheduling activities.
• Assist with planning and managing site logistics and construction logistics.
• Facilitate project meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
• Support and enforce corporate safety policies on job sites.
• Coordinate project issues and resolution with subcontractors.
• Process and track submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
• Support procurement activities, including distribution of bidding documents and bidder tracking.
• Receive, review, and evaluate contractor quotations for project changes and process change orders.
• Assist with weekly labor and quantity tracking.
• Assist with construction quality control and validation of approved products and materials.
• Assist with punch list and project closeout activities.
• Manage plan review and approval processes with local and state municipalities.

• Ability to travel to project sites as project needs require
