Job summary

Aleut Federal in Oak Ridge, TN seeks a Field Engineer to provide onsite technical, administrative, and project-controls support for construction projects. You will assist the Project Manager and Site Superintendent with planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring to meet contract requirements, schedules, budgets, quality standards, safety requirements, and approved work packages.

The Field Engineer works with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to support cost management,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of field engineering experience on heavy civil, site-development, or commercial projects.
Experience with project cost reporting, billing quantities, and subcontracts is preferred.
Must complete required orientation, safety, and site access trainings.

Responsibilities

Support Project Manager and Site Superintendent with day-to-day construction operations and coordination.
Maintain regular communication on field conditions, schedules, procurement needs, and risks.
Review drawings, specs, and submittals to support field execution and resolve conflicts.
Coordinate RFIs, design clarifications, and field changes with the project team.
Maintain daily field reports, cost data, and project documentation.
