Job summary

ECI Group in the New Orleans (Waggaman) area is seeking a Field Engineer for an onsite, 18-24 month assignment to support startup, reliability, and operations of a chemical facility.

The role provides technical assistance for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and project execution while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. US citizenship or permanent residency is required for qualification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a chemical, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer, or industrial manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of chemical plant operations and industrial equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical mechanical support/input to production and operations teams.
• Support startup, shutdown, and turnaround activities.
• Assist with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Investigate equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety requirements.
