Job summary

UMMC Jackson invites applications for an HR-Faculty Recruiter within the HR Business Partners and Leave Management team. This onsite role leads full-cycle physician and faculty recruitment, partnering with deans and chairs to align with clinical, research, and academic needs.

The recruiter will source candidates, coordinate interviews, develop offers, and support onboarding while navigating academic medicine practices and applicable employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of recruitment/academic medicine experience.
• Preferred: faculty or physician recruitment experience.
• Knowledge of physician recruitment practices and healthcare labor markets.
• Understanding of academic medicine structures, faculty ranks, tenure, and physician practice models.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for physician and faculty positions, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer development, and onboarding support.
• Partner with deans, chairs, and hiring leaders to develop recruitment strategies aligned with clinical, academic, research, and workforce needs.
• Source qualified candidates through networks, associations, institutions, conferences, platforms, and passive outreach.
• Screen and evaluate candidates for clinical expertise, academic qualifications, leadership, and fit.
• Coordinate interview processes, site visits, presentations, stakeholder meetings, and feedback.
• Provide market intelligence and guidance on recruitment best practices.
• Manage offers and hiring with compensation, credentialing, and immigration partners.
• Deliver a positive candidate experience with consistent communication and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and institutional policies; maintain documentation and ATS records.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and report time-to-fill, pipeline activity, and outcomes.
