Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Facilities Engineer to identify and manage asset reliability risks at our aluminum casting and extrusion plant. This onsite role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of related experience and involves RCA, FRACAS, and reliability improvement across water cooling, HVAC, electrical distribution, and other plant systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field OR 5+ years of experience with industrial facility systems.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to define, collect, and analyze data.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to ensure reliability of facility equipment.
Analyze asset performance, remaining useful life, and costs.
Apply root-cause analysis and FRACAS to failures.
Develop solutions to reduce losses from repetitive failures and other reliability issues.
Provide onsite training and documentation for maintenance staff.
