Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions seeks a Laborer to assist skilled trades during maintenance and repair and to help oversee site cleanliness. The role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD, with responsibilities including interior/exterior upkeep, material handling, and light maintenance tasks.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, US citizenship, ability to pass a background and drug screen, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds (75 pounds with team lift).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Six (6) months experience as a general laborer/general maintenance worker.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug screen.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and team lift 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of all assigned sites by stacking excess materials, collecting trash and debris, cleaning floors by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Performs litter and debris clean-up around office and surrounding buildings.
• Cleans debris off of windows and other surfaces such as tile, mirrors, countertops, sinks and toilets.
• Loads and unloads trucks and other conveyances.
• Moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks.
• Assists skilled workers during non-structural demolition on building interiors.
